I prefer class. If you're a douche bag and win, you're still a douche bag. If you're a douche bag and lose, you're still a douche bag.

When it's all over, men are judged by character. Not saying Bill wont be admired for being a great coach. Too bad nobody will use class in the same sentence though.

bobby knight has more class than bellicheat. and THAT'S saying something.

i don't buy the "gotta be an asshole to excell"; because marvin harrison. this isn't directed at jason, but frankly, i'm sick of people scapegoating their level of competition as an excuse for being an asshole. it's the "top gun" mentality--and for a long time, that's precisely how a lot of fighter pilots were (and many still are). however, what has come around lately is a realization that the world is not a cockpit, and the unchained ego is NOT of benefit to the professional outside of combat. it's not much different with sports. gretzky isn't an asshole. bellicheat is. cower isn't an asshole, imho, nor is mike shanahan. nor is tony dungee.

we were VERY close to having a superbowl "for the birds", but the 9ers prevailed. i stand by what i said earlier, about the NFC winning. i've had a feeling about SF this year. then again, the ravens (as underdogs, imho) are playing for broke. lewis' last game is the SB. even though i expect SF to win, i will be elated to have baltimore take it.

The Ravens this year seem to be a lot like The Steelers during Jerome Bettis' last year. I had a feeling this was going to be Ray's penultimate game. I don't know if the Ravens will be able to fully contain the 49ers but it should be one hell of a game.

"Class" is being wired like Belichick but still having the wherewithal to summon a modicum of sportsmanship in all circumstances.

Btw - I heard a new song this morning, went something like, "He's Brady and he blows it".

Georgia. what's worse was it was almost the same damn game as the SEC Championship. same damn dome and same damn end of the field. drives me nuts
