texans (or outside chance of broncos) vs. niners. ravens just proved why they won't make it. i don't think the patsies have what it takes. and no one in the NFC comes close to the niners right now. they'll only not be in the SB via fluke.

I could see that outcome. Depends on which Niners show up. They either look like the best team in the NFL or a mediocre college team...depends on the week.

they're a hell of a lot stronger than the falcons. and who else is there? NO? don't make me laugh. Bears? firey trainwreck. Green Bay? maybe. Giants? it would take a miracle after their performance against DC. DC? and have RG3 become the first rookie in the history of the NFL to win a SB? hahahaha.

I don't know why everyone is so ready to crown the 49ers champs they've lost to the Vikings(6-6) who lost to 3 rookie QB's one of which was on his first start and the shitty Seahawks. then there's the 7-5 Giants and the 5-6-1 Rams...the damn Rams. I mean come on.

i'll also throw out there that the falcons lost to the aint's after crushing everyone else this year. so what? teams can lose to shitty-ass opponents in the NFL. i remember the colts first season win coming against the defending SB champ packers in like week 13 (this was several years back). it CAN happen.

Sounds like the KC story was a tragedy perpetrated by an asshole named Jovan Belcher.

    Yes Kevin it was.

I agree with IPD that it isnt all about who you lost too. The Pats lost to Arizona, Baltimore and the Seahawks, by a total of 4 points. All games they really should have won. Those early loss's does not mean the Pats should be considered weak. The really need to beat Houston or at least make it very close if they can be expected to go far in the playoffs though.

49'ers will not be in the superbowl, IMO.

Agreed - they're too fragile, mentally.

houston vs patriots is the 3rd game of a 3-game road trip for houston. i read somewhere that teams in this situation lose these games more often than not (though i cannot vouch for the accuracy of the statement, it wouldnt surprise me if it were true). regardless, this game is going to be remembered.

i'm really interested in seeing how these teams stack up against each other. 11-1 texans vs the 9-3 patriots, who lost those 3 games by a total of 4 points. with the thin texans secondary, i expect good things from the patriots offense. even without julian edelman and gronk, theyre still a machine-like offense with many, dangerous weapons.
but with arian foster and andre johnson, i expect a solid showing offensively from the texans.

if the texans (JJ) don't win the turnover battle, they won't beat brady in a shootout. even with ridley #6 in running yards this season, the texans defense will shut down the patriots running game.

also, some numbers on just how dominant tom brady/the patriots offense are/have been this season/over the years from sports illustrated. Tom Brady quietly in the middle of another MVP-worthy season - Kerry J. Byrne - SI.com

don't get me wrong, i like the texans. but i want the patriots to win. who do i think is going to win? i'm cautiously optimistic for the patriots.
