These two posts in a single page. To say this is a rough season for the Chiefs is a gross understatement.

Jeremy and I were texting back and forth about it. I asked him if the media was going to blame this on head injuries.

Anyone want to start a pool on how long it takes?

i seriously doubt it. he's too young for the long-term effects to kick in. he probably roid-raged into killing his GF, and then felt his life was ruined. in reality, being a rich celebrity, he probably wouldn't get more than a stiff fine and probation.

This isnt something to joke about. Its a serious tragedy, why he did it we may never know. But his actions are seriously fucked up, this isnt your usual crazed lunatic deal. Junior Seao (Spelled wrong) Recently took his own life too. He was thought to be a very nice guy. I really think that the whole getting hit in the head thing does cause damage guys just cant live with.

so what do you do? add MORE padding? kill the sport off because it's "too dangerous"? water down the rules till you're playing flag-football?

I dont know. I love to watch the game and dont want it changed in any way, at least not to weaken it. I do think new helmets should be made. Why there isnt a padded layer on the outside of the helmet has always baffled me.

that would be a start. helmets about as big as the ones used by helicoptor pilots. idk though. professional stuntment probably take a lot of similar caranial abuse...but don't end up with the same kinds of problems.
