Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

I knew the Osprey was good at plucking fish out the water but I had no idea they could damn near dive into a body of water and fly out!

We follow the earth. The earth follows the stars. The stars know their way and though the body dies. The stars will remain, like the waves of the sea and restless slate.

Those are pretty cool birds... We've got some rivers around here that are salmon runs, so we get to see a few periodically. I had one scare the crap out of me a couple years ago, I was motoring down a country road at about 75, saw something in the road in the distance... It was an osprey picking at its latest catch. It lifted off when it saw me coming, and flew straight at me. Problem was, the salmon it was packing was apparently pretty heavy, because I'm pretty sure it intended to clear my windshield by more than the foot or so that it did.... Wingspan on that thing was wider than my car, had me in full pucker there for a minute.
