Steve Jobs would be proud. Unless he created this type of 'customers are garbage' nature. PC's all the way!

btw: if it's any consolation. Once you leave america - apple doesn't even exist. Foreignres don't care about apple products (aside form the fact they can't afford them). Anyone's travelled the world can confirm this. People in asia/south america/most of europe & africa don't use Apple. Even ipads are too much.

Don't tell that to the frenzied and rambunctious Chinamen and women that just spent 7.9 billion on iPhone sales alone last quarter, effectively shutting down retail stores and causing one hell of a fuss over a cell phone.

Apple's Chinese iPhone Sales "Mind Boggling." Brings China Revenues to $7.9B - TechCrunch

Not to mention the iPad isn't even for sale over there because of trademark disputes over the name 'iPad.'

Apple is definitely new to the large-scale international market, but then again, they're not just treading water.

Uh... no. Apple is a hot commodity in South America, I can speak for Brazilians and Peruvians on that one. Apple products just cost more there, which is why they ask anyone in the states to buy stuff here and bring it to them when you visit. I just brought 2 Macbooks and 3 Iphones to Brazil last month for people that wanted them. (Hell, I'm still rocking a 3GS, and they all wanted to have the Iphone4, they already had the 3GS.)

Pretty popular in South Africa too, though I don't know the relative cost of Apple stuff there vs here.

i think it's just a european thing. everyone else in the world wants to be like americans--except the europeans who consider themselves superior to everything and everyone. the benefit of that is they are fairely immune to following hipster brands like apple.

Want to hear something that might shatter your tightpants-hating world?

Due to the fully acknowledged large market share difference and the undying popularity of grandpa-clothes embracing fashion offenders, there is, no doubt, more hipsters out there actively using PCs than those actively using Macs. Just an observation, but that's the trend I'm seeing around campuses and the 18-28 age group.

Why does Apple keep marketing to them? I don't know. It sells, for now.

Are most Apple users hipsters? Not the ones I know.

Are most Windows users greasy, snorting, pocket-protector wearing, computer nerds with no girlfriends? You guys tell me.

My only observation I have in that respect was when I went to school for software engineering. Small sample group of 33, but the "Hipster" was the only one with a Mac.... just sayin
