If you dump the same money in other cars, you crank them up and drive them. Is there a good medium? If I get this, this, and this I will have a good running car that I can drive on the street any day I want, then occasionally race it without having to worry about retuning or adjusting something?
If you want the car to be like that either send it to Ray or Matt for a turn key car with all the bugs worked out and worn parts replaced, or be prepared to replace more parts that are aged. These cars are getting old and have plenty of worn out parts. You can't expect a 93 to be like new. Once maintenance is up to date and the car is modded right it will run great day in and day out.

Having had my car for a couple years, and creeping on this and the other forum for just as long, it always blows my mind the mindset some people have. These cars aren't any more prone to failure than anything else from the era. yes we have weak transfer cases, once you start throwing gobs of power at it, but there's a solution to that, yea there's the spun bearing issue, but look after it, and wont need to worry. i've got one vr-4 that has 200,000 km on the original motor, with no rebuild, and it still runs like a champ.

Parts aren't as expensive as people make them out to be, it's actually a rather easy platform to make really respectable numbers out of, what isn't there to like about it.

But to the op, it definately sounds like you need someone to justify you getting something different, so throw that thing up for sale, i'm sure you'll have someone jump on it.
