I'm not sure I understand the question.
The IAC is a stepper motor.
There are 4 coils to the stepper, power is pulsed to these coils in different combinations to cause the motor to "step" forward or backward. There is no "variable power wire". Full power is applied to each coil, in turn, to move the motor to the desired position.
What is it you're trying to do? Maybe we can find another way?

ok. i no longer have the factory iac. the throttle body i have has its one iac but i have no way of controling that iac motor to keep it open to keep the car running. or to even start it up for that matter. i ran into that problem today. last week the car ran semi ok. but like i said, i have no way of controling the iac motor, and my damn idle is high way high.

another person told me not to get rid of the factory iac (jfast) but there are plenty of manifolds that dont use the factory iac. they just ditch it and set the idle manually.

ya get what im trying to do?

Hmmmm. What do you know about the IAC you're running? Is it a stepper as well?
Are you sure the no start problem is because of the IAC?

yea im sure its the iac not opening. my bud is a ford guy and the throttle body im using is a mustang 75mm. he has some machine that plugs into the ford iac and allows you to control it. also lets you control the idle. so yea, its the iac.

Why not use a bosch idle valve off another car? Are you running the stock ECU or an aftermarket ECU?
