my new OEM TOB after less than 100 miles? wtf happened?

I just put this in a month ago and bought it new from emilie. Looking at the pp it looks normal, no fingers are out of alignment. little rub marks but nothing that grooved the fingers. TOB looks new other than the cracks on the inside. This is the 2nd TOB ive gone thru? what is causing this?

That's looking like the clutchfork fulcrum is sloppy and not lifting, pivoting, or sliding properly and the TOB is rubbing on the input shaft?

    Bent clutchfork...

Time for hydraulic TOB... just sayin. that lever geometry is stupid!

When you installed that TOB, did you install a light coat of grease onto the input shaft sleeve? If so, what kind of grease did you use?

    Very strange problem.

ya, i used some redish high temp grease from my ford store.

i just ordered a new TOB, so hopefully austins are in good shape. I did notice the washer and i wonder if that shim is throwing off the throw on the clutch fork?

You mean the washer under the fulcrum? Oddly, I can't recall if that's there stock or not. I think it is...

With the TOB, fulcrum, and fork installed, when you apply force where the slave would, does the TOB slide up and down pretty effortlessly?
