Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

In the end all you are doing is getting the afr and timing optimal for your setup. In terms of wot it doesn't really matter what tuning solution you use, if the afr and timing is correct you will make similar power.
I would expect about 350AWHP out of 13Gs with a decent enough pump gas tune. If you max them out you may find 400.

yes, many advantages and once you sell the crap you have the price is basically $0 to get onboard. I sold my stock ecu for $310, my MAFT setup for $210 and my emanage ultimate for $450
That's $970.
I paid $150 for a 1999 sl ecu, $250 for an adapter harness from blackstealth, and then $169 for the tactrix. I then choose an evo 399 maf that was $110.
That's $679
So I have about 300 bucks back in my pocket and a better overall solution.
Has anyone written up a "what you need to go flashable" how to?
I'd definitely get the flashed ECU over the ARC-2 if you have done any kind of piggyback tuning. The ARC-2 works and is very simple/quick to setup but it just doesn't have as many tuning options plus I plan to run 1200-2000cc injectors on ethanol depending on my final turbo selection which the ARC-2 just can't handle. I have an ARC-2 but will be using the flashed ECU as my preferred tuning. At first I'll try it with the ARC-2 as the upgraded MAF and see how well it works. Eventually I'll decide if I'm going to go bigger than TD04 and use the ARC-2 plus flashed ECU for a 900+AWHP I'd do with some of the parts I have or stick with some billet TD04s for awhile and just use the EVO MAF. I may get a before/after dyno between the ARC-2 itself and the flashed ECU if they would let me swap the stuff over since it wouldn't take long while the car is cooling down between runs.

There's no reason you can't use the ARC2 WITH the flashable ECU.![]()

"I don't actually work on cars, I just talk about them on the internet."
I figured by the time it converts the signal to Karman Hz it would be ok. I just wasn't sure about the fixed IAT and Baro signals or at least I don't understand the whole big picture in what areas/tables this affects the ECU. Originally I was going to run the ARC-2 and flashed ECU because of the hp limit on the EVO MAF that my previous build was going to exceed when I switched from pump to ethanol, but for now I will be running some billet TD04s to give me some time to decide if I want more power and if the bigger MAF over the EVO is really necessary. I want to do a full 5-speed swap/subframe restoration before I put down some serious power so that could be this winter's project.
