Originally I was going to run the ARC-2 and flashed ECU because of the hp limit on the EVO MAF that my previous build was going to exceed when I switched from pump to ethanol, but for now I will be running some billet TD04s to give me some time to decide if I want more power and if the bigger MAF over the EVO is really necessary. I want to do a full 5-speed swap/subframe restoration before I put down some serious power so that could be this winter's project.
Have you ever run an ARC2 on a stock car? Same side effects only less correction is needed. It's arguable if the free flowing MAF is worth the side effects but that's all bench racing. I still need to do more playing with the MAFT on my car but I'm working on other projects right now.

Actually I've never run it on stock injectors since with the 92mm MAF it won't run because it can't correct enough for the larger MAF with stock injectors. Even when I had other ARC-2s with the 83 and 87mm MAFs they were always on modified cars. I guess what I couldn't picture was seeing how it would use air mass instead of load based. I don't know enough about the whole process of converting the hotwire style MAF signal to karman hz and then to air mass at least trying to grasp the "big picture" of what's going on but I'm sure once I start using it and logging it will all 'click'.

Does this mean that one could run flashable ECU with MAF-T on a blow through set-up?

Just wanted to pop in and debunk the fixed iat, and baro values in a maft setup causing issues. The stock maf measures 3 values so the ecu can calculate mass airflow. Volume, temperature, and pressure. The gm maf measures mass airflow directly, and the translator sends the hz value to the ecu to represent the proper airflow. The baro, and iat values are fixed, because the gm sensor doesn't need them to measure mass flow, but the stock ecu needs to see a value to not cause issues.

This is how I'm setting my car up. The best thing about using a gm maf, is you can raise your airflow cap to around 100lbs/min, without going standalone/speed density.
