    BOV adjustment?

I've been tryin' to figure out why my car won't boost past 7lbs. I'm gettin' another MBC from Ninja Perf. But, I'm not sure if that is really the problem. My BOV whistles, not when I'm gettin' pressure from between gears. It almost sounds like it's breathing. The whistle (more like an owl hoot) will change pitch as I slow down coming to a stop.
    Anybody have any ideas? LMK

No aftermarket. Gauge is autometer. BOV I got off fleabay. Something similar to this: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=08666626343

There is a nut on the top of the BOV that appears to be an adjustment. Just don't have any idea how to adjust it.

The threaded rod that protrudes out of the top of the bov should have a hex in the center. To adjust the bov spring you need to place a hex key into the threaded rod, loosen the locking nut, tighten or loosen the threaded rod as desired, and re-tighten the lock nut.

Your bov may be too far gone for a simple adjustment to fix it though.

If I had a boost leak, wouldn't it be popping and banging?

are the waste gates pinned and connected properly?
When I got my turbo's rebuilt they didn't put cotter pines on the waste gates.. they got installed like that and the waste gate rod came off on one.. I couldn't boost past 10 lbs no matter what I tried.

It will not necessarily be popping and banging. A boost leak test is never a waste of time.

Yeah, wastegates are good. I'm gonna test for leaks as soon asi can borrow a tester. I'm pretty sure it's this fleabay BOV. I'm gonna see if I can adjust the "hoot" out of it too. Probably won't get the tester until this weekend. So I'll try the adjustment first.
