ALERT: Stolen '73 Challenger on the Eastern Coast!!!!

    Hey guys,

Hopefully Alan won't mind, but I figured I'd post this over here just in case anyone from the eastern coastline happens to notice this car around their area so they can report it to the local authorities. It's a '73 Plum Crazy Challenger with a '71 grille (in case anyone doesn't know the difference, the '71 has two openings on either side of the grille opening, whereas a '72-74 model has the "frowning" center grille & a '70 has a single, large opening). It was taken from the Burncoat St. area of Worcester, MA & may have been on its way to New Hampshire, given the information that his friend had posted on C-C.com.

Here's the link to the original thread from the other forum:
    STOLEN 1973 DODGE CHALLENGER.............

    The V.I.N. is: JH23G3B305224

It certainly hits home when someone has the balls to steal someone else's collector car!

    Thanks guys!

    EDIT:
Here are a couple of photos of the car:

    And the front:

No Lojack or other GPS device installed?

I hope they are able to recover the car, but I bet it'll be trashed if they do.

I don't believe the owner had any way of tracking the car's location. We did have another member's car get stolen while it was in Jersey waiting to be shipped to the new owner in France, but enough people were alerted and the police ended up recovering it...The people that had stolen it beat the piss out of the body 'cause the car made enough power to crack the paint between the quarter & roof panel & the rear valance was chipped from them popping wheelies, but at least it was eventually recovered!!!
The owner will certainly appreciate the help of other auto enthusiasts, so thanks guys for keeping an eye out!

Here's an update on the car's disappearance:

Bank Of America Has Something To Do With This Muscle Car's Disappearance

Apparently, Bank of America in Mass. has decided that dealing with money is no longer profitable enough for them, so they've resorted to G.T.A. instead.

Wow. I absolutely hate BofA, but I am forced to bank with them since they now hold my mortgage. I remember reading about someone who was wrongfully foreclosed on (the house was paid off) and the bank refused to fix their mistake. So the local sheriff went and served them a notice of eviction at the bank branch for failing to pay for the homeowner's legal fees and not correcting their mistake. He locked the doors and they weren't able to conduct business until they fixed the problem... maybe this guy should see about having the bank president's car impounded until he gets his back?

I remember this and am hoping a similar situation will happen here too. The only problem I see is that this isn't as cut and dry, the guy was keeping a car in a foreclosed house which will give BoA and the contractor an excuse and drag a legal case out for years if need be.
