    transmission

    hey guys, why is my gearbox so hard to shift? it should shift like a hot knife going through butter. all gears are like that. the only gear that grinds is 2nd and i hope some of that synromesh would cure that for now.

    How many miles on your trans? Is your clutch disengaging? If you start the car in first with clutch pushed in, does the car want to roll forward on start?

    u could have some bingding issues in the synchro sleeves, or a number of things. pull the linkages off at the trans and see how the gear selector moves

    Hopefully your 2nd gear synchro isn't on its way out.

    will check 2 make sure it has fluid. that would be so stupid on my part lol. its not driving right now. have a few bugs to fix first but when you put it in gear, it should be smooth.
