Help! Need to find an unusual part

I thought I'd ask the forum here, since we have a bunch of gearheads who may have connections to something like what I'm looking for.

i need a 6mm female to 9mm male threaded adapter. I'm not sure what the specific threading is, but if it's any help...this part will be used with barrel adjusters on a bicycle brake-lever.

any ideas?
