I'm quite sure I have offended and annoyed a few people here, but that's largely a matter of perception, I'd say.

There's a lot of 'ands' in the bill. Those 'ands' become binding requirements for prosecution. There's no way anyone is getting arrested for posting something on a forum where a random person later says 'I'm offended'. Proving intent(which is also a binding requirement of the bill) from one person to another in that example is quite impossible.

EDIT - I think the opponents are way over analyzing this. It's clearly designed for bullying and stalking. Kids have killed themselves over that. I think it's a pretty serious topic.

the kids that have committed suicide and stuff over it is a terrible thing... I see it on the news locally usually due to homosexuality... it does make me very angry.

however..

I am going to be that asshole and say my generation was raised as a bunch of ball-less pansies, and continues to be raised that way. there are a few of us who just don't give a shit.

That being said.....in no way does it justify those kids who do the cyber bullying. and it also upsets me they used the term "trolling" instead of cyber bullying. because those are two completely different things in my book and it incriminates quite alot of people.
