I was reading this the other day. I want to get rid of my glass top and put a skin over it. This thread gave me some good info. Thanks for posting it

We follow the earth. The earth follows the stars. The stars know their way and though the body dies. The stars will remain, like the waves of the sea and restless slate.

I don't use it. It leaks. It's heavy. It's also broken (crank). The only good that came from it was having a chick stand up out of it topless while I drove down main street in my college town once. Other than that, I hate it.

Is this the jumbo removable sunroof? The design makes leaking tough as the glass overhangs the actual opening by a good margin.

Yeah. It's the giant removable glass. The seal on it is shitty. It doesn't latch itself closed right because of the shitty crank. I would spend less replacing it with a solid then I would fixing the crank and seal

Yeah, there is no way that is worth it. Just replace the seal and crank. Just the amount of time involved...not even close. Might be worth it if you had an aftermarket roof or something.
