We'll get them back up and running like new again. No crazy stroker engines or big turbos. Just clean and stock but with Jim's wifi tops.

James even got some "free" labor out of me lol. Thanks for the deals on those wheels too. Emilie is so excited to have Volks for her white stealth.

I have already started getting emails for spyder parts! LOL

These are NOT parts cars people!!!

Those volks made falling off the trailer and almost getting run over last night almost worth the pain I'm in today

I have pink calipers, so, pink wheels will be a little too much. Maybe a pearl white to match the car. I have already found pink VOLK replacement decals for the wheels, I think that will be good enough

Thanks, I was picky about who I would sell to, and wanted to make sure they weren't going to part out the cars.

It's definitely easier and more reasonable with my adjusted time & expenses (both gone down). I literally could not keep up with all of them financially or time-wise, and it became brutally clear the last few years.

They will stay in one piece, I'm sure of it.

James, I know you went through a major streak of bad luck with most of your cars. Sometimes you just have to take a step back to go forward. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see you in a Spyder in a few years.
I wouldn't be surprised at it, either. I love the cars, but I need to stay with what's practical right now. My only other vehicle is my truck, and that's been dead since Oct or Nov last year ... so long, I don't even remember how long. And it's sitting at my friend's house 50 miles away, so it's not really convenient to try to fix, either.

Thanks Bob. I'll still be on the spyder mailing list. You're still my Spyder buddy too.

Haha, yes, I rarely drove them because I was extremely picky about getting them dirty. I had the red one since ~2004, and the black one since ~2008, and I only put about 6k miles on each of them.

That "free" labor was part of the rims/tires agreement. I loved those Volks, I only took them off because they don't clear the StopTechs.

Yep, they are definitely *not* parts cars. The black spyder doesn't go in reverse, but is otherwise fully functional. They drove it up onto the trailer and everything. I only gave it up because having already pulled the spun bearing motor from the red spyder, and having it sit on jack stands in the garage for somewhere between 3 and 4 years, I realized I'm in too deep to go pulling the trans from the black one too.

I did the 120k service on my DD coupe at ~140k because I had time and funds tied up in the spyders. The driver's seat in my coupe is so worn through at the bolster, not only has the leather torn, the foam has worn away, and you can see the steel bar - without even having to squish the foam or move the leather. I also had issues with my coupe that led to me missing a number of days at work, and it was made clear that if it continued, I'd be able to have as many days at home as I want (aka unemployed). It was a tough decision, but it's for the best; I can focus my time, effort and money on one car, and two other people can enjoy driving VR4 spyders, instead of me having them sit motionless in the garage.

So, if you want to join the exclusive "VR4 Spyder Owners Club", get in touch with Hans and Em.

The Volks are already off to the powdercoaters to be refinished in pearl white to match my Stealth I am BEYONED excited to get those on the car!

The Black Spyder is about 1/3 of the way through the detailing process. One of our customers (who actually currently owns 2 Spyders) is coming to look at them tomorrow. He wants to buy one, just needs to decide which one he wants.

I will keep you updated as things move along

Let me know if you want some Katzkin leather seats James. I'll make you a really good deal. I think the decision you made was best. I understand not having the time or money for more than one. I don't have the time currently for three and the Stealth that I drive sits more since I focused more on pulling parts off the other cars. At some point it will get a full 5-speed swap with restored subframes, bushings, etc. A full black interior, front end repaint, Stoptech BBK, DBA 4000 rotors, DR Stage III heads with headlift fix, Unorthodox cam gears, 272 cams, 3.5L stroker, T3 turbos of some sort, flashed ECU or AEM EMS, 1650cc injectors, dual feed/pump setup, Kenne Bell BAP, CFDS, SS transfercase, new weatherstripping, and a whole bunch of other things. The sad part is I have probably 99% of the parts just sitting in storage just no time or space to do it all. That's part of the reason I didn't get it all finished the first time.
