I think he already has, In other words I think it's just a tune thing but I'm not sure. I do know his fuel system is good for shit load of power.

3.0v measured on raw knock? Is 3v the trend or isolated spikes? Seems way too high. For years my car got noisier and noisier on my aem logs as I got crazier with mods and pushed things harder (solid mounts, noisy valvetrain, built motor, etc). Last year I discovered corrosion in the body side of my knock sensor connector (sensor itself was new) was causing a poor connection and my average raw knock dropped from ~ 2v down to 1.5v at high rpm and moderate boost after re-wiring it.

I'm making some really good power with a great powerband but she is getting a bit noisy.

    Making 15psi @3500rpms and over 20psi @4500RPMs.
AFRs pegged at 12.0, timing around 16 degrees on E85.

Raw knock of ~3v. I'm getting nervous about that, but I do have a built engine and solid mounts. Any AEM guys have comparable numbers?
My raw knock on E-85 was never above .7v. That was 22 degrees of timing at 7000rpms and 17 degrees at 4000. 3v is too much. There's something loose or your valvetrain is really really loud or something.

Edit: Boost was 23psi actual on that. That's a very very safe timing number for E-85 and will yield around 550tq/550hp at that boost on Evo16g's

Hey all, just getting around to replying.

Yeah, it's noisy. 16-17 degrees peak up to 18-19 at redline.

No problems there. I have more fuel than this car will ever need. AFRs are solid, high 11s-12.0

It's just up there in the high boost / high rpm range - 20+psi, 4500+rpms.

OK, your timing numbers are right on mine. I'm actually a little safer, 16 degrees and 19-20 at redline.

Yeah, it's too much. I will probably pull the pan and check the bearings here soon.

If it makes you feel any better on my sea level tune on pumpgas I was running 45 degrees of timing at peak tq and 38 at the top. It was quiet and just kept making power so I let it rip! Can't run timing like that in Denver tho. Truthfully that's really really big balls aggressive.

Did a few more pulls tonight at slightly less boost and everything looks OK. Knock raw was around .7v at peak (crazy how close my numbers are to your experiences). There may be something interfering with the readings, but I want to play it safe and check everything out.

Hey as long as the power keeps going up! I will go all out with this car, but not yet. I'm still "settling in" with this power level, and I'm having too much fun as a 550hp daily driver.
