Check engine p0505 code

Ran a code for a p0505 idle control system malfunction. My car would idle low and stall, only after being warm for awhile. I thought it was a number of things, like with the fuel system, but the code said it was an idling problem.

So I disconnected the IAC or ISC and ran it, still the same so it's not that...
Disconnected the VIC, wasn't that.

Cleaned the MAF and it helped for a few hrs but then went back.

Any other ideas?

Did you actually test the ISC, I don't think disconnecting it would prove anything LOL.

I mean if its disconnected, then won't it just not do anything?

So then if I disconnected it, it would show that the problem wasn't actually caused by the ISC or am I just dumb haha

Well if the ISC is f*cked... and you unplugged it, that proves nothing. You car will stall and won't idle with the ISC fubar or unplugged... so essential it will still have the same problem.

Alright I get you now. I ordered both the ISC and the VIC so I'll just throw them on and if that doesn't fix it then that sucks.

It's a simple test... you can throw money at it all you want, but you really to diagnose the issue first.
