Hudson is 5 lb 2 oz and Hughston is 4 lb 13 oz. They are in the NICU and doing well. Both were on cpaps for awhile and they were just recently put on vents because they were just so tired. That's very normal for 33 week old babies and nothing to worry about.

    Aye, good news.

My last grand-daughter was born 5 weeks premature in November.

NICU is a great step forward - my first experience with it at that time.

    haha... Loved this shot:

    I assume the "weight" scale is reading in kg... 2.28 kg * 9.81 m/s^2 = 22.37 N = 5.03 lbf = 5 lb, 0.5 oz-f..?

LOL, you can tell Adam's an engineer. That's a lot of work to do a quick kilo to lb conversion!
    I would've went with 2.28 * 2.205 = 5.03

lb-mass and lb-force (weight) are different. It's subtle and I hate it. Really, I just hate slugs and mass in USCS.

But on earth, 1 lbm = 1 lbf, so you're right. I was just way over-thinking it. I work almost exclusively in SI and then convert to USCS... haha

    You and me both.

Your assumption is correct. I actually did the conversion in my head (roughly) upon seeing the measurement!

Ignorant question time... If not for modern medicine, were they born too prematurely to survive? Are the tubes and stuff precautionary or are they critical at this point?

PS: CONGRATS!! I literally cannot imagine what you're feeling.
