It would be CNC'd out of 6061 so it would have to be 2 parts. Could be made to have inlet on either side of the engine and whatever size TB people would want. The design would be similar to Nelson Racing Billet Intakes for the V8's. you would have to attach it to the stock lower intake and then you could remove the whole thing at once is you really needed to otherwise there will be enough clearance to do normal maintenance without having to remove the plenum. The total volume of the plenum is just over 6.5 liters

as far as price it would probably be close to $2500

Why not have this cast to save a ton of coin?

The gains are not there for a $2500 piece.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

Well I'm not going to argue you with price, just telling you what it could possibly cost based on the amount of material and time it would take to mill out. And the fact that people do pay more for less just look at Nelsons 3K$ fabricated one. And the reason we wouldnt cast it is because we are a machine shop and make things such as these items.

No argument on what it would take to cnc that at all. Such a great design to never see the light of day due to being stuck in the billet world.

i suspect that 3d printing will advance to the point where something like that (or many other types of parts) will become very cost-efficient to produce. i can afford to wait. i love the design, but i'm not that baller.

I've been thinking the same but haven't taken the time to design one. We have FDM and SLA at work. One may be big enough to produce and some of the materials available are probably heat resistant and strong enough. Not sure how long they would like the heat of engine bay though. I'd have to check into it more. What we use them for has very short periods of heat and plenty of cool down.

That looks a little tall. Have you confirmed available space under stock hood?

Edit, maybe pics are deceiving. Comparing to TB opening (assuming 3"), it doesn't look too bad.
