FYI to those interested in this item. It looks like the runners are going to be shorter than stock, possibly 2 inches shorter? Also, the runner design is different for the TT runners versus the NA runners.

N/A intake runners are smooth interior tubes. Twin turbo runners have a V-groove in the ceiling.

The XM surge tank is twice the capacity of stock, and with the NA runners bolted on the runner length will be 2 inches shorter. The shortened runner length should improve the horsepower area of the curve, and take away from the torque. Likely a good thing if you want to rev and shift higher than 5000 rpms. I'm hoping this is a huge benefit with the design of the stock cams and boost taper on the top end.

    We'll see.

If anybody has an N/A plenum and TT plenum if you would like to post pictures of the runner roof design differences for the sake of comparison and future discussion that would be great!

I'll get to it if no one else does.

I wonder if the N/a plenum can be made to work with some modificaton for a TT...just a direct swap...wonder how it would affect topend powerband..Hmm...is it possible guys?

Will have to compare the 2 in the am, as for power/curve difference the dyno can only tell. I don't see any issue in it being possible.

There was a guy, I can't remember his name, installed NA VICS manifold on his 13T car, used AEM to control the VICS for boosting his low and mid range power. I don't remember if he had to use a plenum spacer.

By the time he adds the plenum mounting spacer the runner length won't be much shorter than TT. I've measured all of it before but can't find where I put my notes after moving. Was thinking of having a local shop fab up basically what is being sold here. The bigger plenum should make more power everywhere you are in boost.

Were they going to let us know how much they can shorten runners and not have any interference with engine? Access to spark plugs without removing?

    From the other thread:

I checked the clearance on the NA mani, and no spacer needed as is with mine.

The plug access as I mentioned before will not happen without shorter runners. As a guess I would say minimum of 3" shorter would be needed for plug access.

TT runners are 11 inches, NA runners are 9 inches. 9" is the shortest length you can have without a spacer. The top of the rear valve cover gets in the way of the tank.

    Runner profile as requested.

Why wouldn't you if you are designing a shorter runner intake? Do you not pull plugs for tuning? Best way is to WOT and cut ignition and pull plugs. Can't do that on side of road when you have to pull intake.

Look into the physical plenum runners themselves from the lower intake mounted side Coop. They are different. I'm going to go and snap a couple pics real quick.
