I've often thought that the intake could benefit from a larger plenum area, curious how it works out. Hell, larger plenum with factory length runners could improve things, let alone shorter runners to change power band.

Other throttle body options would be maybe a Mustang or LS1 throttle body around 75-80MM in diameter, I see a lot of stuff hanging off the Q45, not sure how much can be blocked off and cleaned up that isn't necessary. Certainly intriguing, will be interesting to see what comes of it and how it shifts the power band.

XG350 runner with true 90mm TB vs stock vr4 runners and custom tank on 75mm tb. The runners are larger in diameter all the way down and then they tapers down to stock. Also the runner is taller than stock so it hit the hood.I'm trying to find out if I can machine the upper intake or the lower intake so it clear the hood better. I could still close the hood but I'm afraid it might crack a cf or fg hood if I close it the same way.

Great experience right there bro! Is that their 90mm throttle body option or someone else's? How long are the runners?

Depends on whats available. See if they offer options. I'm thinking an 80mm or 90mm. If they don't have an all-in-one package with TB and Tank we can look into using the CX Racing 80mm billet Q45 TB or their 92mm billet GM TB. Both are $300. I was hoping they offered an all in one with port matching and 90mm throttle body like mehrshadvr4 depicted.
