Loosen driver's side motor mount and lift engine a tad, then pull it from the top (takes maybe 15 minutes). It's the heat shield that is a bitch.

All 4 out of my 92 were like that. 154810 original miles, no wonder why it "thunked" on a hard 1/2 shift....

destroyed!!!!!!!!!!! i welded mine with metal plates engine mount for life.

When I used to weld the plates in the mounts for the solids and thus needed cores I got back some pretty insetting ones. One didn't have any rubber at all, I asked if they removed it and they said they took it out and it pretty much crumbled to pieces.

looks like my rear did when i pulled the engine out. other 3 were fine, but damn...that rear one looked like complete ass.

what are you replacing it with?

3sx poly's! All of them dropped in except the drivers side, the center pin wasnt even close to center, had to cut off 1/4" off one end and put it on the other and pry the shit out of the motor to get it to fit.
