Epic motor mount is epic

Loosen driver's side motor mount and lift engine a tad, then pull it from the top (takes maybe 15 minutes). It's the heat shield that is a bitch.

Everyone says the heat shield is a pain, but with a hammer using the handle pushing on the bottom side up through it comes out in seconds. Beginning to end on the heat shield is about 10 minutes due to the lower bolts are hard to reach.

We pulled the mount out the top as well, but removed the axle to get the precat out for rapage. (much easier than upside down with hot ass debris falling all over you...

If I could tear up the heat shield I would... but it needs to stay in good condition since it is the original. Yes, I keep every single little thing I pull off the car in case I want to return it back to stock. Luckily I don't have to much of a problem getting to the bolts because I have small hands. It just trying to figure out how to get it out.

Don't know what you mean by "hot ass debris"... I replaced my precat with a DNP eliminator. I think it took me longer to get the heat shield out than it did the rear precat. You only need to lift the engine ever so slightly and you can pull the precat out from the top (this is 2nd Gen because the flange on the bottom is different). I've heard you can pull the 1st Gen out through the top without a problem.

And I glad to see I wasn't the only one who got a shotty 3sx driver's side motor mount. It took forever to get that thing in because the pin wasn't center for shit.

If you drill the material out its real thin and the friction heats it up quickly. Bill was using an auger bit or something and the pieces were coming out HOT!

We didn't damage the main heat shield at all, its pretty flexible and the eve pipe is a PITA to install with the heatshield on, lol. Sequence fail
