Something Creepy in the Basement of Laurentian

Well, as some of you may know, we have a bit of a mad scientist at the university I frequent, namely Dr. Michael Persinger.

He's mostly known for the "God helmet", used to recreate religious and spiritual experiences in a lab setting. His more recent work however, has focused on entanglement between brains, ie applying specific magnetic fields to two subjects, and measuring photon emission from the right brain of the second subject in a pattern similar to what is flashed into the eyes of the first subject.

Now however, I've learned that a friend of mine, who's studying behavioural neuroscience, is doing a similar study trying to entangle dead brains with living subjects...and it might be working.

Spooky stuff...what are your thoughts?

Yes and no. What has been done so far is very, very preliminary, and has been to apply stimuli to a dead brain that has been 'entangled' and see if the the live person can notice it, which is around 60-70% of the time so far (but with 1, possibly 2 subjects, its not exactly a large sample size to draw conclusions from yet.) Would it be possible to see the last moments of a person, etc.? No idea.

They've already managed to read live minds though, so the possibility is there.
