would putting some holes in the seperator plate help to balance it kinds like an h pipe on exhaust? i also think a carefully placed balance tube would help a bunch you would almost want to mimick the design of equal length headers . to get the pulses to mead like you want. so with that thought would measuring out the length differences in the pipe and starting with the shorter one put the balance tube bung towards the end and the long one put the tube at the previously measured length from the shrot one? just a thought maybe im full of it . in essence placing the balance point equal to both pipes would be mimicking an equal length setup sorta.

Though speed density may eliminate this issue, I ultimately will be doing a flashed setup for oem drivability.

Great info, keep up the ideas guys.

Hard pipes alone can cause it, but generally speaking it's more prevalent with single-core FMICs. But yes, even 9bs have this problem.

I was really worried about this when I installed my CX Facing FMIC kit. I'm up to 14 psi now and I have no surging at all.

I wonder it is has anything to do with the difference in the design of the DNP kit compared to the CX racing kit???

The merge collector pipes are vastly different on the two kits, So is the length of pipe going to the front turbo! DNP is underneath were as CX is on top, correct!?!?

    Check it out on Youtube!!

I have DSM side mounts ready to go in. So this will most likely not be an issue as they meet up at the ypipe? (I don't have hard pipes yet but I plan on getting them)

going to a larger volume 4" intercooler helped on my car with 15g's. I don't quite see how going SD would help because this is a problem with air pressures bouncing back and forth, not a problem of air flow/pressure measurement.
