You don't replace a tire because the rubber gets old. Tires aren't just one big loop of rubber lol. Not really a valid comparison.

I'd replace a tire that's old.... My brother had to replace all of the tires on his Golf because they were all cracked from old age. IPD was definitely a little strong with his wording though.

even if it doesn't LOOK like it's worn, a 10 year old pulley should still be changed, imho.

lol I have seen +60yo crank pulleys that still got the job done. All a pulley really has to do is survive. Ill be honest, i've had a UR underdrive pulley since 2004ish but i got it because my stocker was damaged from a rock. Now, I have a spare motor and plenty of parts so running a non-damped pulley on my 9b beast is the least of my worries..

Which reminds me.. Anyone remember when MVP said they would have Fluidamper make us a crank pulley? What ever happened?

Those that think tire are not replaced due to being old might wish to lookup tire date stamp, and expiration dating. Tires have a use life that is determined by time as well. It ranges from 6-10 years depending on where you are...

I don't think anybody said tires don't need to be replaced when they get old. Quote please? It's common knowledge that old tires need to be replaced.

Engine mounts are a better comparison, but I can't see why anybody would go out of their way to replace a mount that appears to be in perfect condition, regardless of age.

ATI´s prices start at 750$ and there is a 250$ fee (non refundable) to start the ball rolling... not sure about the pricing today it was 2 yrs ago..

I have heard nothing but good things about these dampers in racing applications in fact they're proven on some of the fastest Aussie cars around perhaps fastest GTR's/RB's and 1fz´s, 2jz´s anywhere in the world !
