    Ideal TPS setting using EvoScan

Hey guys going by EvoScan's readings is there any specific percentage full throttle and off throttle that is ideal? I got it set to roughly 14% off throttle and 97% full throttle.

That sounds about right... But the TPS is adjusted by the position of the closed throttle switch, not by the TPS reading. I would be looking at that first.

You mean adjusting the TPS sensor position on the throttle body or is there something separate I should be adjusting? I'm not having any idle or throttle issues, but more or less just want to make sure my Evoscan readings are in line with the norm for our cars. I know it has a note in Evoscan that some Mitsu cars its possible to see up to 20% reading closed throttle.

The throttle position sensor has two parts, the variable resistance sensor, and the closed throttle switch. the assembly is adjusted in relation to the switch, the variable resistance sensor lands where it lands... (most often around 13-14% in our cars.)

The reading you see on the logger is a percentage of available voltage, not throttle angle, so you will never see 0% or 100%. The computer would consider either an electrical problem and set a code...
