well not every game is going to have it's beauty points. Hell they uglified and dumbed down the graphics in that second Crysis game. I think I'd still prefer to play Half Life 2 over all 3 of them tho

I like Far Cry 2, honestly. My only gameplay qualm was that everything was so damn far apart. Like real Africa, lol.

OMG it runs Crysis? :O lol, I had Crysis since launch and I was amazed at how well it runs, considering. What's even more amazing is how a lot of modern games have nearly "caught up" and people don't even pay attention.



Crysis screams along at 30FPS, maxed out settings at 1280*1024 on my PC. I can bump it to 1600*1200, but my eyesight starts to suffer

Yeah, the screen started doing strange stuff and then just died. Still inside the warranty though

Haha smarta$$ . I know a lot of systems can play crysis "ok". I should have specified that I can run 1600x900 (20 inch widescreen) at roughly 40 fps on the ultra high setting. Let me have my nerd computer glory lol

Hey there's nothing wrong with Half Life 2. Hell even when they redid Half Life 1 with Half Life 2 graphics and gameplay was pretty cool. Weird storyline but still fun as hell. On top of those I like RTS games like the Command & Conquer series and Warcraft III. I never really got into Starcraft but for some reason really want Starcraft II. Kind of looking forward to Diablo III also.

nah it's not hijacking...it's gaming and that works for me lol. I can talk about games all day long since I used to sell them in so many different stores lol. Gaming is my hobby and computers help make the gaming world go round hehe.

Haha well as long as the OP doesnt mind I'll post the specs I can remember off the top of my head about my current rig. (keep in mind it was a budget build so I spent around a 1100 total).

My current rig (keep in mind this was a budget build so I only spend about 1100).
Antec 300 Case
AMD Phenom II Black X4 945
4 gb ram
2x 5770HD Graphics cards
650 w psu
windows 7 64 bit
650 Gig WD Black Caviar and a 500 Gig seagate HD

damn. Makes my rig sound crappy by comparison lol. I'm wanting to make the jump to DDR3 ram but I'll have to buy an all new motherboard and just build from there lol. Alot of money would be involved in a system rebuild. I have something like 3 or 4 hard drives with over 1 TB of space total. What is sad is that they're pretty full of stuff lol. Movies, games, mp3s and pretty much anything else you can think of.

For the money I spent I was really happy with the results. My buddy spent twice that last year on a build and his is slower then mine and it cant run games nearly as well as mine does.

DDR3 ram would be nice, I'll stick with my DDr2 ram for now though lol. I actually want to get another 4 gigs being I can run a total of 8 on my system

Hah....well I have 6 gb DDR2, AMD 3600 dual core processor, ATI Radeon 1950xtx in mine...got it just before the HD cards came out lol. Still a 512mb card though. I actually won most of the hardware in my computer when I went to Blizzcon and spun a prize wheel lol. It was 1 of 3 computers nVidia was giving away which shocked me. Never won something worth $1000 before that time....this was a few years ago.
