Looks great! Care to share any details on how you did it?
First my tails are blacked out with VHT Nightshades. I opened the center up, cleaned the white paint off the lettering, taped off the letters and back up light lens area and sprayed it down with the VHT. After it dried I installed some LEDs. When I resealed the leans I put a THIN layer of clear sealant on the seams of the lens and wired them into the tail lights. Hardest part was cleaning off the white paint where the letters are.

Great project..BUT your last "I" is not lighting up as evenly as the others.
i would love to do that with my r/t garnish....
VHT nightshades are awesome. did you use any clear coat on any part? how many layers of VHT did you use?
IIRC I did 4-5 layers on my turns and then 2 layers of clear on top

Explain? I have one that I painted Pearl Yellow, that didn't look right. I have one that I have taken the lens off, that was a MAJOR P.I.T.A.!!! I have been playing with how to evenly diffuse the a light source to eliminate hotspots. If I do this, there will not be hot spots and it will get brighter when you brake. So it will light up in two stages:
Running light mode
Brake mode
the two stages would be really cool. how hard was it to take the lens off?
