and now you know why i stopped trying to use my social work degree, and decided to make MONEY for a living.

i'm sorry, but CPS is a catch-22 of the most epic proportions known to man. pull a kid too late, and people say you're not doing your job. pull a kid too soon and you're breaking up the family. fuck. that.

My mom has a masters in Social Work and has seen some pretty messed up stuff.

There was one situation where a little girl was found dead in her bedroom pinned between her bed and the wall. She must have got stuck somehow cause the report said it looked as though she was reaching for a toy, however, she wasn't strong enough to get unstuck because she was also malnourished. When the police got to the house the parents were watching TV. The girl had been dead for about 2 weeks.

Right there I would have shot both of those parents in the face. I have no idea how people can see shit like that and not go ape crazy on those responsible.
