I think you DID answer the question

It's a lot easier to justify this hobby long term if you spend every dollar as efficiently as possible. If you pop a piston or spin a bearing, one or both of those turbos are trash.

450 AWHP is an extremely affordable goal with these cars. 600 AWHP starts to get a little expensive and every goal above that requires a deep wallet.

Start with 450 and then begin planning the next stage...

Thanks a lot for the replies, you pretty much confirmed what I was thinking. First, I wanted to do all supporting mods before upgrading turbos, I dont think its the best to just slap on some big turbos and a walbro. Ive ridden Ive driven a 300ZX TT making 400rwhp and weighs only 3100lbs so I know how bigger power feels but right now I just want a reliable street setup. Making only 287awhp now I think the jump to 400awhp will keep me happy for a while. I think after the 13T's I will start on some weight reduction because breaking things sucks.

I got "like new" 13T's for $650 from a member just because they were there. I have Dave doing the upgrades on a new Ray P. 3.1 with all forged internals, full exhaust, mods, an FMIC, Chrome ECU, etc.. I need to redo the entire interior, external stuff like mirror and cracked lenses and paint. So I set my priorities as 1) solid upgraded engine, 2) refurbished exterior, 3) new interior, 4) crazy power.

I'll get it on the road with the 13T's and think I'll be happy for while as a weekend driver, no track or shows. If I don't kill myself with the 13T's then I'll look at DR 750's in the future.

13t's for that price. Save the money for other mods.

kinugawa 16 or 19t is also an option today if you don't have deep pockets

If DR750s are in your future, be as kind to your own wallet as you can for now.

    I wish I'd done 13Ts right off.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

    Now there's a great question...
Well, I ended up having a baby and pouring money into my house. Also, I started AutoX and road racing so the focus went to weight reduction and brakes. I sold the 13T's and I'm saving up for DR650's with the 9 blade billet turbine upgrade.

Since that post, I've added the following:

3SX Stinger Hood 15lb weight reduction
    DSM SMIC's
    Ninja Hotwire kit
    GTO MR brake ducts
    Enkei RFP1's 20lb weight reduction
    M2 Catback
    1 step colder plugs

Irony is a B. Aaron had a 2000 mile set of Robbeck 13T's for a ridiculous price. They should arrive within the week. I'm going to throw in the 450cc blacktops and MAFT and stick with lowish boost for now and see how it goes. I also did a full VAC delete, AEM FPR, and 3SX preturbo pipes. Dynoed at 306.5awhp and 320lbtq recently so I'm hoping for around 360-400awhp with the blacktops. Need to get a wideband asap.
