So my wife got herself published

I'm not sure how many of you have seen it before, but November is National Novel Writing Month. National Novel Writing Month Basically, you pledge to write a 50K word novella/novel in the month of November. Em decided to take on this challenge this year. Now, the rough draft is all that is required to be complete in November. After that, editing, second drafts, etc are let to do on your own time. The idea is to get people simply to write.

Fast forward to today, and we have this. It's nothing fancy, but boy is she happy to see her work out there.

I just felt like sharing it as she's been so excited to see this get completed. Her own words: "I don't care if I never sell a single copy - it's so cool just to see it out there." I know we have a few book nerds here so I'm sure they can understand the undertaking of actually piecing together a story and making it into a cohesive book.

Definitely will do, and yes I am proud of her. Being on the outside watching her go from her basic outline to finished product has been interesting. I know there were times she was wanting to pull her hair out getting this done, and after she was done with the rough draft she refused to touch it again for about a month just because of how it drained her to get on paper. I have a new respect for people who write for a living!
