    6g72 and 6g74 parts interchangeable?

What parts are interchangeable between the two engines? In particular the timing parts?

What about cam/crank sensors, oil pumps, accessories, ect.

You just need a different timing belt.

You need a 6g74 timing belt for a DOHC engine. 72 or 74 heads are the same dimensions and the timing marks are identical.

I was under the assumption that the gears on the heads of a 6g74 were slightly different. Maybe a tooth difference.

    Taken from the main page.

"CAM gears on 6G74 engine have timing mark 1/2tooth off, You can modify 6G72 gears but the 6G74 gears are easier
See my parts comparison page to see difference between gears."

So I should use stock 6g72 heads with the 6g74 cam gears?

It's what I would do, I would shoot Micheal a PM to see if he can grab you some from the junkyard. That is, if you don't have any.
