    I think I agree.

So glad the Giants won. Tom Brady needs to go cut his mullet.
My wife drew crappy numbers in her work pool, but the Giants fixed her up with that safely, and she won 2 quarters - HAH!

what, the NFL thread wasn't good enough, you had to make a new one?

i agree with brian and paul. i don't think it was a bad game necessarily--it just wasn't the offensive shootout everyone anticipated. eli had a very solid game--and i won't fault his play by arbitrarily calling it "boring". people said the same shit about lyoto machida, and he was the freaking champion.

lol @ brady rolling right out of a nearly-sure sack...only to throw an interception off his subsequent hail-mary pass. double lol @ the last giants td. triple lol @

I'm not sure why anyone anticipated an offensive shootout. I don't follow the NFL much but even an outsider could easily tell this game would be won in the trenches. Games like that typically indicate a low-scoring affair.

Because people can't get the taste of Brady's cock out of their mouth and think he is the King of Kings.

    OK, I'll bite.

I like Tom Brady. He always says the right things, really seems to care, and I like watching the Patriot offense. It's the sort of offense that Colt McCoy should be in, but will never find because he's stuck in hell (Cleveland).

I was rooting for the Patriots. I want to witness history. I wanted to see the Patriots go undefeated a few years ago and the Giants, who didn't even really deserve to be in the playoffs won. This year, the Giants deserved it even less.

I was calling for the Pats to let the Giants score as soon as the Giants completed the pass to get a 1st down and enter the red zone. If the Pats defender just lets him go, Tom Brady has 2 minutes and multiple time outs to get the win. If I'm coaching the Patriots, I want to be able to control my destiny.

Great game, but I'm already sick of looking at Eli's slack jawed face.

I couldn't care less about either team. However, I did root for the Giants. After watching Eli through the playoffs it was very evident that no one was playing with more toughness and determination as him. A few of those playoff games he got absolutely slobber knocked the whole game. Never phased him, right back up and leading his team down the field.

Very well deserved win for Eli and company. Based on who the Giants beat through the playoffs, I don't see how anyone can say they are undeserving. Destroyed the Falcons, crushed GB at Lambeau, and held out for the OT win over the 9'ers at Candlestick. Competition is so stout in the NFL these days, you can forget about having all the playoff teams being undefeated, or having only 1 or 2 losses. It's just not going to happen, the talent level is too damn high.

9-7 regular season. The playoff field is just too large IMO and it makes it so that regular season accomplishments mean nothing.

That said, I'm happy for Aaron Ross.

...One of those regular season wins was over the Patriots...

6 teams from each conference is too large? Disagree. They're taking the top 37.5% from each side. Narrowing it further would exclude teams that maybe slipped up, but are actual contenders. See #6 seed GB last year.

And one of the regular season losses was to the Packers. And the last time the Giants won the Superbowl, they had lost to the Patriots during the regular season.

I probably just feel this way because I recently read this: New York Giants Defy Data and Logic Yet Again | Barking Carnival
