sneaky wi-fi on cell post in class:

Greg, haha I will shoot them your way this evening. Can you please send me the updated d.file? aceralan001 AT hotmail DOT com

James, (right?) we were battling boost spike due to what I speculate is the AEM's sensitivity to vacuum/boost leaks. They only made themselves more apparent as we started to push things, so something must have gave.
    3/S Street Tuner San Diego's Panda VR-4 v.3 w/ 38psi (peak) on E85+Meth | 3094 lbs as of 7/2/19

Definitely not motor-blowing, but I wouldn't want to keep seeing it repeatedly, and for that many concurrent rows; at a glance, it looks like it's pulling timing. My tuner doesn't like to see ANY knock on a final tune, including on multi-gear runs. A single count in a single cell, he'll tolerate, but most of the time, more than 2 counts, and the tune gets tweaked. I can't wait til I have a flashable ECU and can get him to tune my VR4.

Yep, James indeed. A boost spike makes sense. Since the run only went to 6K I thought you might have felt the hiccup and aborted, but just wanted to point it out since you'll probably take a small hit in power on the virtual dyno as compared to a clean pull. And I'm liking the way the 16Ts look so far.

I need to focus, but I just wanted to comment that I agree completely. This is by all means NOT a final tune NOR a power tune. As stated in the video, we aimed to see how much we could push on piss pump-91. Ideally, I would have settled for an optimal re-tune @15-16 with more timing.

I did NOT allow Eddie to drive away like this. We reverted to a lower "b setting" with less solenoid duty cycle. This puts him at roughly 1bar. Thanks for looking out though!

EDIT: Looks like injectors? IDC and IPW dropped.
I would love 0 knock counts ... that is for sure....

    Good catch on the IDC/IPW....interesting....

From experience, any hesitation from the motor is going to cause knock. Not really sure why that is but I could speculate.

Hesitations from the motor are going to disturb the air that it sucks in. This will be shown as brief moments of less airflow which is read by the Maf thus the ecu is going to throw out a lower ipw. That's why you're seeing those lower ipw numbers. The knock is causing the ecu to reduce timing.

I believe this momentary lean condition is what causes the knock.

Btw you really should fix that hesitation. Make sure you're not hitting a boost limiter with the ebc.

I'll send you the code for the periphery stuff tonight. Don't want to send you my whole definition file yet as it's untested. Let me see if I can't get you a higher counting Maf signal too.

You have an e-mail sir! We are working hard to resolve these minor nuisances right now. The turbos are working harder than they really need to be atm. I could/should have washed away those knock counts with a slightly richer AFR @0.96v+ but the boost spike and leaks were making things difficult and overly risky. My adjustments to advancement makes me curious what our EGT numbers look like

I have a really good idea what will be happening next time. To be optimistic, we DID get this far with only a laptop, cables, and time on the street sick shit. I must be doing something right because I only performed a total of SIX flashes on Friday night and have plenty of datalogs from during the process

PS: 2.0 can read/clear DTC's just in case you did not know yet hehe. I only had to do it once because of a loose connector.

You must have a newer cable than I do. That's the ony reason I can think of why yours will read codes and mine won't...
