    PassMark - CPU Benchmarks - List of Benchmarked CPUs

    my cpu passmark on my quad (quad core opterons) was 11,000 total cost 100$ in cpu, plus 200$ for the motherboard, 100 $ case, 150 power supply, 300 in memory.

    upgraded to opteron 8384 for another 100$ it scored almost 13000 in cpu passmark.

    yep, 24 hours without errors is something I'd consider stable.
