    Starting problems need help

well i guess i'll take advantage of having 175 members online..

My car is having starting issues.. i turn the key and nothing happens at first it seems like the battery is dead or something but all my electronics turn on.. eventually the car will start after i turn the key literally 20 times plus... and it seems to struggle to start. like the batt is dead.. i put it on a volt meter and its reading 14.4.. im kinda confused.. is this the "click click start" issue? cause i dont hear any clicking at all theres nothing..

    thanks

    Trevor

Your best bet is to get down at the starter and do a voltage drop test to find out just how much voltage is actually going through the starter. It COULD be the click, click, start issue... but you can do some very simple tests to find out what's happening down there.

Ordering a starter is not the way to go... why? Because you haven't done any tests to determine that the starter is the issue.

The click, click, start issue is incredibly easy to install... and it's cheap. If it fixes the issue, you're done. If the new starter doesn't fix your issue, you're out some money.

Yea... he was banned a long time ago.

The click, click, start was honestly a simple automotive relay... that's it. Parts cost around $10 or less.

Keep in mind, it's 4 simple connections. You're basically using the stock wire from the ignition switch to send FULL battery power down to the starter.
