I don't think there should be a strong gas smell for the TB... I had my y-pipe blow off one time, and there wasn't a gas smell while I was reinstalling it in a parking lot LOL. I've never received a TB that had a gas odor... but have received some full of oil

I'm on the reassembly stage now. It should go out by monday unless you want me to hold off.

You actually had me searching through all my pictures of the TBs I've done, and the cores I have now LOL. Even pulled out the original Spyder TB out of the closet to compare. Next would have been to pull the one on the Spyder. I went through ASA as well, and came up with the same part numbers, but of course the diagrams are generic. The funny part is I pulled the part number for my 94 VIN and the 95 Spyder, and they were the same... but they have different body styles LOL.

Another question, are you doing any kind of vacuum reduction?
