Completely Rebuilt Like Chrome Polished TT Throttle Body

    ***SOLD***

Up for sale is a completely rebuilt highly polished twin turbo throttle body (three vacuum ports). Polishing consists of everything that is visible once installed, to include the FIAV and ISC. Throttle body was completely disassembled, cleaned, polished, and put back together. All new hardware when I put this back together- Stainless Steel Socket head bolts (lubed).

    New parts:

Mil-Spec Throttle body shaft seals (2)
New throttle plate shaft screws with Loctite Red
    BISS screw, o-ring, and plug
    ISC/IAC o-ring
    ISC bolts
    FIAV o-ring/gasket
    FIAV bolts
    Dashpot bolts
New Throttle Body gasket- the metal one

These seals keep the throttle plate shaft centered and positioned in the throttle body. When they wear out, they can cause leaks, sticking, and jamming of the throttle plate. Set of two seals fits all turbo DSM 91-99.
**These do not fit 90 models: they have one side that uses a smaller seal.

If you have a '03/04 Evo, there is an 80% chance that your OEM throttle shaft seals are cracked. If you own a 05/06 Evo, those odds increase to over 90%!

We tested a car on our dyno at STM with OEM leaky seals...
Replaced those seals with the MIL.SPEC seals...
Picked up 20 whp and 20 ft pounds! Holy Boost Leak!

    Fits:
    91-99 Turbo DSM
    Evo VIII-IX
    91-99 Turbo 3000GT / Stealth

TPS sensor is set. You may need to adjust BISS screw, easily done (remove plug and use screwdriver). The ISC/IAC resistance was within specs. However, there is a piece broken off on the plug part but it still plugs just fine. The dashpot is still nice and spongy. But since these commonly go out with age, I don’t guarantee these will last, so consider them free (dashpot & ISC).

Price is $150 shipped + a core charge of $50. International shipping is extra. Once I receive your core I will refund the core charge(shipping cost is on you). Your core must be complete- TPS, dashpot, and ISC. If you want to keep your sensors and/or dashpot tell me ahead of time and I will remove mine. If you want to send your core first, that is fine; I can even switch out the sensor for you (free).

Send a PM for PayPal address.

I haven't forgotten about you. I'm still waiting on my rear valve cover to be powder coated. It's one of those "buddy" deals for free. So I haven't been buggin' him too much. But, I may go ahead and pull mine and ship it to ya. Sorry it's takin' so long.

BTW to whomever is thinkin' about one of these. THEY LOOK AWESOME!

New Price $165 shipped (48 states)... and I will INCLUDE a prepaid UPS shipping label for your core. All you have to do is box it up and either drop it off at a UPS location or give it to a driver.

Chances are your current throttle body is leaking. Every one I have taken apart, the shaft seals were in two pieces LOL.

Last price drop $150 shipped, but you are responsible for shipping your core. That's me basically breaking even because I bought this core, plus the gaskets, hardware, and NOT including labor.

    April,

In doing some purge valve investigation, I discovered that the '95 and earlier cars have low vac at idle on TB and it increases with engine speed where '96 and later cars have constant vac at the ports (I can point you to a reference in the service manual). Here is a picture of my TB - http://www.3sgto.org/f2/disassembly-...tml#post173304 which seems to have a different port configuration (3 vertical ports lined up) where yours has 2 lined up and one further back. Is yours from a later model year?
    '95 Spyder VR4:
Exterior/Suspension: '99Front End/Rear Garnish; 19x9 370Z forged Rays Eng wheels; CF 575 Hood; Tein S tech (front) and H tech (rear) springs with rear adjustable control arms; Adjustable Front Tein Pillow Ball Mounts.
Interior: Hella TPMS; LCDBC; Remote Top; Interior Rearview Mirror with Temp/Compass/HomeLink.
Brakes: DBA 4000 Slotted Rotors - HPS Pads - SS brake lines.
Performance: Pampena Bell-housing reinforcement; Pampena pistons; Ninja Lightweight Rods; Dynamic Racing Stage 3 heads and Billet DR650s w/9 Blade turbine and Billet actuators; ported I/E manifolds; DSM SMICs; ID1000s; Flashable ECU ('98) - Chrome 2.0; GM 85mm MAF & translator; 3SX Downpipe; IPS Quad tip exhaust; Walbro 450LPH E-85 fuel pump; K&N fuel filter; AEM AFPR; ACT pressure plate MB019; Maximal/Setrab Oil Cooler; 3SX high capacity radiator; 3SX adjustable cam gears; 3SX Poly mounts; HKS Twin Power.

The throttle body in question is actually the set-up for the 91-93. The 94 had the same body, but different spring plate and dashpot set-up. The 95-97 are all the same. And the 98-99 only have two vacuum ports. I actually have all three body styles right now, so I can compare tomorrow.

As for the FIAV, I honestly don't know how you "test" them... never really heard of one going bad. The only part that I clean is where the ISC enters. I don't mess with the part that has the spring. I have an FIAV block off plate, a crap ISC, and vacuum plugs that I install when I bead blast them.

The best people to ask is either JasonY or Todd (Tazz375) because one of them sent me a 1st Gen TB and I know they both have 97+ VR4. So somebody installed a 1st Gen TB on their car, I think it was JasonY that had the 1st Gen TB. They sent theirs together and I don't remember which one was which.

I had a 95+ TB on my 94 and there was no difference...

Are you having idle issues... and has your current TB been rebuilt? If it hasn't been rebuilt, I can bet you dollars to donuts your shaft seals and BISS orings need to be replaced.

No idle problems - just a startup problem, but only when warm (not hot or cold). Once it catches it runs beautifully. Problems started after I replaced turbos/injectors/plugs and a bunch of other stuff, had the plenum and TB off (and cleaned them) and reinstalled everything. I'm hunting for the source of this annoyance and made my way to the TB when someone suggested I look at the FIAV as a possible cause. Then I read the strong caution in the manual about blocking the bypass port before cleaning (which I didn't do) and I figured maybe that was the source of my trouble.

Along the way (in the past day or 2) I learned about the need to rebuild these and about your Mil-spec seals ;-). My car only has 62k miles on it but I'll bet age/heat has taken a toll and they have hardened and leak so I thought I could eliminate the bad FIAV problem and get a freshly rebuilt (and perhaps polished) one as part of the deal.

How much for the rebuilt '95-97 model? Is it polished?
