    95 3kgt for 2500 worth it? NA

Hey there is a transmission shop not to far from where I live that has a 1995 3000gt NA for sale. Had a blown dif and shop replaced it and other transmission issues. The guy is asking 2500 for it. Has 235k on the odo. The engine doesn't tick. At all. He's had it at his shop for about 9 months while he was trying to get parts and just about 3 weeks ago got it finished.

I test drove it. Had to be jumped to get going but after it started it ran fine. Drove great. Paints a little oxidized but not peeling (just turning pink in some spots). Interior is in great shape and it's black (picture makes it look grey cause of cell phone cam). It's bone stock too (counting infinity stereo and changer).

    Here's some pics.

It's a 95, so the interior is gray. That seems like a decent deal. It looks clean. If it runs and drives well, see if you can get him down to $2000. But even at $2500, I would say it seems good. Plan on doing the timing belt/water pump service soon though, unless you know when it was last done.

Well that grey looked way darker than my 94 stealth grey.. May have been the tint though i dunno. I know the seats are way darker than they are in the picture. He is asking 3000 but offered 2500 to anybody local that said they heard from the local board. He said timing belt was done recently or so he was told but wouldn't hurt to check and not sure about the water pump. That high of mileage I was surprised it didn't have tick or anything.

The grey generally looks like a darker charcoal with tinted windows, but it`s all the same. If you were to pick that up ($2,500 is a fair deal for a trans that was just done) I`d definitely get on that timing belt and water pump.

If you can't verify the timing belt change, use that as the wedge to knock it down to 2K, like Emilie suggested.

    Pretty car...
