no its every cylinder. I remove the rockers and leak down is great. As soon as the rockers are installed the valves are clearly leaking a ton. The cams are correct and the gears are timing right.

hey does anyone have a pic of the camshaft lobes with the pistons at TDC?
I think I'm going to set the gears in the stock position and see if it changes anything. This has almost got to be a timing issue somehow.

ok, it is pretty early to tell, but I took 2 lifters out and really pumped all the oil out of them and now it holds leakdown. I guess it was just lifters pumped up too much. Maybe it would've straighted out if I tried running it, but I feel a lot better about it now. Thanks for the suggestions. If anyone wants my advice, don't pump up your lifters, just soak them. That's what I'd always done before, but so many people said to pump them up that I did this time to try to do it the right way, lol.
So, now I have to retimed it for the 20th time and redo all the lifters, rockers. Nothing good is easy![]()
Congrats, I was just about to subscribe for the solution...
...then again, I have never done anything but soak mine either![]()

well, good news. Engine is timed, tension is good, marks are lined up, and I have good leak down on all six. Now I can move on finally.
Good luck with the rest of the build Forest!
