First of all, OSU wouldn't have been playing Alabama.

Second, using your logic, since 'Bama barely beat LSU in game #1, who says OSU wouldn't curb-stomp Stanford in game #2?

Third, honestly examine the schedules of the top SEC teams and support your claim that Stanford would finish behind Bama, LSU, Arkansas, Georgia and South Carolina. Personally, I'd love to see Stanford vs Bama or LSU.

You might as well start arguing that Arkansas would beat Oklahoma State because K-State gave OSU a better game. Just ignore all the individual match-ups, injuries, team confidence, and any evidence that might suggest the SEC isn't other worldly (Arkansas barely beating the 7th best team in the B12 at a neutral site; a down Boise State handling UGA; etc...)
