I've actually had this idea for a long time, but have never went through with it. What I actually want is a 3 way switch. Full-closed (to go through catback), full-open (to be loud from idle to WOT), or WOT actuated. Glad to see others have the same vision.

Its less than 2 years old. The exhaust note changes quickly but that's at only about 1/4 open. Even on their site it says it takes several seconds to fully open and close. A vacuum/boost operated valve opens in about a quarter second, that would be more suited to how you want it to operate.

They sure are fun though.

It only takes like a second, *maybe* two, honest. I'll shoot a vid.

Cutouts are very cool. Curious that no one here uses them that much. See 'em a lot in the domestic world.

You just have to go to the right inspection station. I got several places that I could go with a cut out without an issue. Hell I shouldn't even be able to pass because of my tint and an honest inspection station passes me.

Dude I live in Los Angeles... there are ways. Do what I did and put it on a test pipe. Swap for the cat when you need to get inspected.
