I was picking up my girlfriend from work in her car one day and was going to mess with her and act like it wouldn't start (she was having issues but we got it fixed prior to this)... Held it to the floor and turned the key and I guess there was enough fuel to get it fired.. Think you can figure out the rest haha

The people around us probably thought I was real cool revving up my stock Legacy

Just got my rebuilt clone back from Brett. The problem he found was a blown CPU Core.

2.0 was loaded in before he sent it back, is there anything I need to do to the settings to get it working on a stock car? (Aside from disabling the secondary o2's)

He loaded you with a beta 2.0. Hold off a bit on using it. I am *almost* ready for public release.

Please don't share that beta. There are a lot of errors in it! This goes for anyone else who bought an ECU from Brett with 2.0 on it. He wasn't supposed to be doing that but I understand why he did. I'll explain that later.

Why would he be letting out the unfinished V2?! I thought you told all testers not to share the beta V2? ...let alone sell it.

The fear of bricking an ECU.

With V2 already flashed to it there are fewer changes for ECUFlash to make thus less time is spent doing the actual flash. Less time flashing is less draw on the battery which is safer. So far nearly every bricked ECU we have encountered comes from LONG flashes with a tired battery. Since Vishnu already experienced a bricked ECU, Brett probably figured itd be safer to give him that beta so when he tunes it there will be less flash time.

Even still. I wish he wouldn't have done that but nothing I can do about it now.

I'm only an observer here but shouldn't the flashing procedure be performed with a battery maintainer hooked up?

For the initial V2 flash yes. It can take up to a minute to flash the ROM because its so different. If you're just tuning a few tables, the flash is done in less than a few seconds so the risk is small.

Greg do you still recommend flashing the car while it is running and just letting it die?
