The stalling with an open loop bov doesn't I know.

I don't understand what you meant by "If you're talking about running one o2 sensor instead of 2 or 4" do you mean disabling them in ECUflash?

They drive GTOs so 1 - and the ecu reads from the rear

I just installed my evo maf and need to rescale the MAF settings in ecuflash. My laptop crashed and I lost the chrome data. Is it possible to get it again? The links posted on page 1 are not working. I'm kinda stranded until i get that info again...

    Patiently waiting...lol,
    Thanks

EDIT: Worked it out somehow, EVO maf is installed. Car runs great. Thanks again.

You are correct AND incorrect. I have been working with a lad from the UK and a lad from Australia.

Basically the GTO has TWO O2 sensors regardless of the model year. The guy from the UK tells me that they took a 1999 VR4 and plugged in a 1994 VR4 ECU and the car ran just fine. All of thier cars require a three plug 1st Gen ECU and all of thier cars came with TWO O2 sensors.

Anyhow, I was just reading about how a bunch of BMWs were getting stolen overseas by reprogramming a blank key for the car, etc etc and I remembered seeing a table in the ROM for some security code. Are these ECUs equipped for something like that hardware wise? It would be really cool to just get a little fob on your keychain that was required to start the car...

I think that some 2000 version GTO's came with the immobilizer function. I know that another user had taken code and removed it for some one. I personally would like to add that code into my ECU as a step up in security. You then need the extra black box and what not to make it work. And keys are a PITA to have made.

Nope. Only certain Euro-specific 3000GTs. Any grey-market GTOs that have immobilizers were retrofitted.
