I still haven't put gas in my car, and its going on two weeks. I was filling up once a week before. I'm going to reset my miles to see how many miles i'm getting to a tank. I have like a quarter tank left.
Hey Greg, what are the general steps to getting fan control to work on a 1G? Do we just need to wire the 2 output wires from the ecu to 2 relays and then wire those into the stock fan feed? I realize you probably don't see too many 1G cars to mess with. I'd like to have the fans come on a bit sooner than 190, lol.

I assume that the ecu outputs will be a positive value and not a ground?
It is going to be tricky to add these wires and relays in a clean, stock appearing fashion. I guess 40 AMP relays would be big enough to handle the fan draw.
How does the a/c fan integrate into this? I may just leave it alone.
I've done a 2G -> 1G fan swap before and I remember the 2G fan having 2 extra wires. The fans themselves were the same and swapping the wiring was cake.
If I were to do a 1G -> 2G conversion, I'd start by tracking down a set of 2G fans (very easy and cheap to find) and also steal the connector on the body harness side. Brett's latest ECU adapter harnesses are including the 2 extra wires needed for the 2G fans. The wire colors match up between the 1G and 2G fans and all you'll have to do is figure out which wire at the harness goes to either of the 2 open wires on the connector. I believe Brett is including enough wire to reach all the way into that portion of the engine bay.
If someone ever comes to be to set this up for them, I'll document and post it up.
