I guess that statement was a little confusing.

I have disassembled software for both the 94/95 and 98/99 ECUs. Both generations prohibit code clearing via MUT while the engine is running.

All I was trying to say was that, even as far back as 94, it worked this way.

Yep, I think I'm confused but I've been away from anything ECU/logging for a long time. Is it that both 94 & 99 check if the engine is running, but only the 96+ (OBD2) will let you clear with it running?

If you are using the MUT protocol you cannot clear codes while the engine is running.

If your ECU has OBD2, and you're actually using that protocol to try to clear your codes, they should clear even if the engine is running.

I can make this even more simple.

No matter what ECU or protocol you are using, only clear codes with the key on and engine off. It'll work every time

Alright I am having a problem with my car (had the problem before and I just did the fuel system/98 ECU) and am wondering if there is way I can check to make sure the ECU is flashed correctly?

ECU flash said it worked fine... If the stock 98 NA tune was on it, would the car even run?

When I plugged in the Tactrix cable windows asked for drivers, so I pointed it to the ECU flash folder and X__ (whatever had the highest number). Like I said it seems to work but I am wondering if there is someway to be sure?

Try to flash the exact rom you are running on to the ECU again, and it will just list Yes for everything and not actually do any flashing.

Is there any planned support for different map sensors and/or boost solenoids? I know the AEM/Mac boost solenoid is really popular, along with the AEM map sensor. I am contemplating retrofitting a MAP sensor into my 93 manifold or tracking a newer one down and this just crossed my mind.

I have a couple 3-port solenoids sitting around but to be honest, the stock one with the restrictor pill removed has worked just fine for me.

Support for any sensor is easy if I can get an accurate scaling for all of them.

That is what I was hoping to hear, great! My only concern with the stock BCS is its ability at higher boost level. If it works just as well as others though, I would much rather have something that is PnP. Thank you.and keep up the awesome work. Now to find a VR4 ECU....
