The relay in the cabin has to be on for the pump to run on hi or low. It send power to the relay in the engine bay. The relay in the engine bay only redirects the power through a resitor to make the pump go to a low setting. So to prime the pump you should only turn on the relay in the cabin.

All the ECU sensors are tied to the same ground so they all read the same. Though you can get away with grounding the AEM to the chassy, it's best to use the ECU ground.

Sensor ground.... Not ecu ground... different pins.

Also don't tie sensor ground to ecu ground or to chassis ground... That would be bad

Super bummer. My car has a 97 ECU in it..... harness is hacked to hell, lol. There was no reason for me to think there wasnt the 98 in the car. Car used to have an AEM, a buyer before me didnt want it, a 97 ECU and harness got put back in....... Needless to say I am pissed.

That sucks man. So they pit in a whole new dash board harness or did they cut and hack on a 97 connector?

Did you just buy this car? If so you need a refund.

And if they just cut and hacked the harness in there... You really want to not use an adapter... Your going to want to rewire new pigtails in to ensure it is not screwed up our had a bad confection.

Thank You everyone working on this, I chrome my 98sl ecu and i am getting great gas mileage normally i would be less than a half a tank. Now i'm at a little over 3/4. Cant wait to get some real turbos on it and get into the tuning aspect of things.

is there anyway to alter the scaling and set things up so that we can log a greddy map sensor? The wideband logging was a piece of cake btw.
